We wake up to a clear, sunny day and decide to go up the river to the Krka National Park and stay at the Marina in Skradin.

It is a winding river that is serene and beautiful. We encounter swans, fish traps, a few fishermen and sail boats going the same way, but for the most part, we are alone in this pristine world of blue water and rocky landscape with wooded forests. As we cross the lake, we can see snow capped mountains in the distance – evidence that winter has still not given up on this area. It is cool, but at least ten degrees warmer than yesterday.
