Started the day with rain and thunder. Since we had to do something indoors, a puzzle was started. Soon the rain stopped for a short while, and we all bailed out to try our hand at fishing on the dock. We used black mussels growing on the docks as bait and managed to catch two fish. One was very prickly and both John and I had sharp pain and swelling. Luckily, after dousing with vinegar, it seemed to go away. John stayed behind at the boat, while the rest of us took a water taxi to Hvar town. We did some shopping, walked up to the top of the hill to explore the fort. The sun came out and the view of the Pakleni islands and Hvar town from up there was spectacular.
Back down in the town, Shane found a great restaurant and we all shared a couple of plates of mussels and clams, a large fresh sea bass that was grilled and melted in your mouth.
Back at the Marina on the Pakleni islands, saw John fishing at the end of the pier as we came in with the taxi, so we all walked out there to see how he was doing.
