We spend most of the day traveling to Palermo, Sicily and then drive to Castellammare del Golfo. There are huge mountains that seem to be formed from mostly single rocks that protrudes into the blue skies in and around this area. It is a lot cooler here – feels like seventies, and the light breeze is very pleasant. We check into the heart of Castellamarre del Golfo in a lovely old building where we have a studio for our time here.

The Como family arrive and are staying just a few blocks away from us in a house they have rented. They pick us up and we drive to Scopello, a tiny village on the coast, for dinner. It is a very small and quaint village. The food and company for the evening is excellent!
