The sun is hiding again behind those clouds, and rain threatens, but does not fall. We take the ferry to Lopez Island this time. It is a smaller island that is mostly pastoral, with an active little fishing village and harbor area. It is uneventful and peaceful – a lovely place to visit, but a little too quiet for us to consider living there. We love the ferry rides and the views of the snow covered Mt. Baker. We could actually see the snowy peak today as it was not obscured by clouds. The ferry stopped by Shaw and Orcas Island on the way back.
