We started the day by spending a few hours at a Lido or Beach club with the beautiful rock formations and arch as part of our scenery. The water was so clear and the temperature was perfect. There was a lovely breeze blowing that kept us from getting too hot. Many bathing beauties to keep John entertained. Many beautiful boats whizzing by. Endlessly entertained.
We then took a taxi up to Anacapri near the very top of Capri and then took a chair lift to the very top where we could see far and wide in every direction. It did not seem real! The colors were so vibrant, it took my breath away.
Back down in Anacapri, we spent a lazy few hours wandering the streets. Most of the tourists had left, and all the locals were out. I spent a lovely hour choosing tiles to ship back to LA for our next project. We don’t have the house yet for the tiles, but am going to enjoy using these beautiful hand painted tiles somewhere in the USA.
We picked a table in the church square and had a lazy, long dinner watching the locals go for their early evening walks and conversations and watched the children play. What a life!
